When our SD editorial team went to Bali, we had the privilege of being invited to the FHM Girl Next Door Party 2006 at the Sand Island, Hard Rock Hotel, Bali. Was it great? Let's just say our photographer had one of the best night of his life!

Just a stone's throw away from Kuta Beach, Hard Rock Hotel Bali has been rocking the scene for more than eight years now. It has been the venue for talked-about events and concerts such as that of Air Supply, Michael Learns to Rock, and Hoobastank. Last July 21, 2006, Hard Rock Hotel Bali played host the grand finals of Indonesia 's FHM Girl Next Door. The hotel was transformed into one pulsating party place as FHM heated things up with special performances from the FHM finalists, the jugglers and fire dancers from Orange Production, the sexy crooner Dewi Sandra, and DJ Bimo from 1945 FM spinning his latest tracks.

Vacationing Jakartans, locals, and expats all headed down to take part in the revelry, partying in their best loungewear. I joined the party crowds around 10 pm, just as the party was starting. I had the chance to watch the amazing fire show; dancers juggled fire on the dark stage and danced through fiery hoops. The effect was breathtaking.

As the finalists went on stage, Mr. Ery, Editor-in-Chief of FHM Indonesia, announced that May from Sidoarjo emerged as the grand winner of the search and brought home a brand new car from Mitsubishi. The event may have ended at 1 am, but everyone partied on ‘til the wee hours of the morning.
