About the restaurant:
We sat by the river.... which was too warm when the fans aren't running.... and there were too many people using the fringe of the dining area as thorough fare... I'm surprised the hotel put up with it.
The neon lit pedestrian bridge is definitely a recent addition and definitely doesn't go with the period of the conservation-slated surroundings.... like michael jackson meeting henry the eight...
Ordered Food:
Dessert: The sampler and the blood orange brulee
My verdict:
Although the sampler has never been its best docci, the selection last night was way below expectation.... totally unimaginative in presentation and taste.
The brulee fared better... so I'd recommend sticking to that...
About the restaurant:
As a restaurant in a hotel I expected MUCH better.
I am fine paying for over priced food if the ambiance and the service is there, but they were off the beat. Waiter never understood what I wanted and had no attention to detail
Ordered Food:
Salad, pasta and satay sticks
My verdict:
Satay sticks: I could have done a runner to Lau Pa Sad and done better. I think they must have ordered them from some guy at Boat Quay and rushed them in to us. Nope, failed, wont be there for dinner again, though love the hotel and the breakfast was different experience
